Proper tool design yields better results

A good injection mould starts with the right design- and the finished product is never better than the mould in which it is cast. That’s why each mould is carefully adapted to the product’s requirements and function. At Pla-Mek®, our tooling engineers develop the solution in close collaboration with you. This provides good flow in the process, high precision, and profitable production. We have a long-term and reliable cooperation with tool manufacturers in both Europe and China, which gives us flexibility, quality and competitive prices.

Early involvement pays off

By involving Pla-Mek® early in the development phase we ensure a well-considered and optimized mould design. The most important decisions are already made in the design phase, and here are many factors that need to be taken in account—such as material selection, gate location, surface requirement, demoulding direction, etc. Together, we also explore opportunities to reduce material usage and select solutions that support a more sustainable product. Our engineers work in close dialogue with your development team, reviewing dimensions rapports, test samples, and technical assessments throughout the process. This proactive approach minimizes costly design changes and leads to a better final product.

  • Together we assess

  • Material selection

  • Desired surface

  • Gate locations

  • Functional requirements and tolerances

Simulation Moldflow

Technical insight – Practical value

Pla-Mek® offers advanced expertise in plastic part design and tooling. To ensure optimal component performance, we apply advanced computer simulations and analysis tools. These tools provide confidence that your product will not only look right—but perform also reliably

  • Moldflow

Simulates plastic flow behaviour inside the mould

  • FEA (Finite Element Analysis)

    Evaluates structural strength and deformation.

Tooling solutions that meet your needs

Everything is produced with modern hot runner technology and high precision. With the capacity to handle moulds of up to 16 tons, we develop and supply tools for

  • Ekornes hjul

    One component moulding

The entire product is moulded in one type of plastic- precise, cost-effective and with high quality. Suitable for everything from simple parts to technically advanced components.

    2-component moulding

With two materials in one process, we combine function and colour. This results in fewer parts, increased durability and efficient production.

  • IMG 0035

    Combination of different plastic properties

We mould soft and hard. Dense and flexible- in the same product—This provides  better function, fewer assembly steps, and visual adaption to design and brand.

    Plastic combines with other materials

With our vertical injection machine, we can mould plastic around objects such as metal, ribbons or cords, providing flexible solutions.

We take care of your tools

Pla-Mek® has its own maintenance department for injection moulds. A dedicated technician ensures that the moulds are kept in optimal condition through regular service and repairs. For more extensive machining, we cooperate with specialized tool shops. The goal is always the same: to keep production running efficiently and predictably.
